Learn to ski with the ski school Alpendorf

The kids are learning to ski while having fun. After first learning successes the children leave the Kinderland and move to the slopes of the ski area Alpendorf. Professionally trained instructors and our mascot Kater Carlo promise unforgettable ski holidays. Our intermediate and advanced students can improve their skiing skills in small groups. We open the magically world of skiing for your kids by letting them playfully develop the right feeling for skiing and for the snow. Please note our special Kids packages: Kater Carlo Week, the kids all inclusive package and the Ski amadé minis week.

Kids introductory course for beginners 3-5 years

Your kids can participate the kids beginners course in our ski kindergarten. They will make their first attempts in the snow with the help of our 2 conveyor belts.

The little skiiers are learning to ski while having fun. Trained and well experienced instructors teach the children while having lots of fun together

For kids aged 3-5 years with option to upgrade to the week course
Course time: 10 am to 12 am Sonnday, Monday Tuesday
Booking: at the skischool office up to one day before the course start. The latest until 6 pm the evening before the course start.
Course content: getting used to the equipment, sliding on snow
Meeting point: In the Kinderland at the top station of the gondola in Alpendorf

Childrens courses 4-16 years

The smallest are the biggest. Child friendly methods help to learn to ski with easyness. Technique is integrated in games and important piste rules are tought in the safety talk. Every Thursday there is a big race with award ceremony.

Course start: all groups at 10 am
Full-day course (4h): Sunday to Friday 10 am to 12 and 1 pm to 3 pm
Half-day course (2h): Sunday to Friday 10 am to 12
All-day care: from 10 am to 3 pm
Course entry: daily (except Saturday)
Grouping: 30 minutes before beginning of the course our groups are formed according skills and will be divided into smaller groups
Age: kids from 4-16 years. Kater Carlo weeks from 3 years (age verification required)
Meeting point: Kater Carlo Kinderland at the top station of the gondola Alpendorf

Our special service: kids can be handed over to the instructors at 9 am at the skischool office and also be picked up there at 3:30 pm
Supervised lunch: our skiinstructors accompany the group to lunch (incl food and 1 drink)
Final race: weekly childrens race (Thursday)
Course content: safety talk, technique, face painting and fun on the devils route

The kids ski school Alpendorf is specialised in dealing with kids.
Dedicated young ski instructors gently help the little ones with their first steps on skis. Play and fun always come first.

Learn to ski in the Kinderland in Alpendorf, St. Johann in Ski amadé

Kater Carlos Kinderland

Our childrens area is located 1575 meters above sea level. With its ideal location next to the top station of the gondola in Alpendorf it is also easily reachable for non skiers. The gondola round trip ticket for non skiers is available at the cash desk of the gondola.

In Carlos Kinderland the little ones learn their first steps of skiing. With child friendly methods skiing becomes an easy thing. A well balanced mix of playful teaching methods and animation includes fun and excitement.

Our magic carpet helps the children climb up the hill – so all the energy can be put into the skiing exercices. Every Thursday there is a final kids race with award ceremony. Kater Carlos Kinderland is equipped with a magic carpet, several exercise paths, Kater Carlos snow tent and a break corner.

We use many teaching aids such as stubbies, ropes, snowball machines, cones, poles, gates and many more
